One 2 One Workouts - Who are we?

We are a partnership training duo whose life changing weight loss journey started about 10 years ago & we’ve never looked back! Indeed our unique selling point is GUARANTEED RESULTS, which is why we never have had to look back!

I’m Mandy & I’m one of the personal trainers at One 2 One.

My story is quite familiar for a lot of women out there, got married, had a family & wanted to get back into shape.

My body had gone through so much but like a lot of modern mums, juggling full time work, bringing up a young family & running a home meant gym was the bottom of my priority list.
Despite paying a monthly gym subscription and promising myself

‘I WILL MAKE IT TO THE GYM…ONE DAY!’

the wasted months rolled on & that little voice in my head convincing me ‘that next month is going to be different’, but sadly it never was! Then my partner (who was very overweight at the time), started a totally different type of programme, encompassing both training & a healthy lifestyle regime and guess what?

GUARANTEED RESULTS week after week! It seemed too good to be true, but it really wasn’t! From achieving my results I went on to become a trainer & now, 10 years later it’s still working for me & I’m continuing to help many people, from all walks of life, with their personal weight loss journey too!

Hi, I’m Indy and I am the other half of this training duo.

Following the birth of my first child over 10 years ago, it made me think seriously about my weight problem and I was very overweight for my height (see below),…it suddenly hit me

‘I didn’t want to be the overweight dad who can’t give the time & energy my child deserves!’

Previous to this, many of my friends and family, the people who cared about me, kept telling me I needed to do something about my weight, but like a lot of people out there, I thought I was ok! I mean I didn’t wake up ‘being overweight’ …it happened gradually over time, as it does with us all. But then there’s that one point in everyone’s life that gets you to start thinking about your weight issue – whether you’re looking back on old pictures, you’ve had a health scare or like me your first child coming into the world – we have that trigger moment where we want to make that change and reverse the years of gradual weight gain. It’s never too late to do something about your weight, you’ve just got to be mind-set ready to do it & the rest will happen.

I heard about High Intensity Training, how it was an effective fat burner but still allowing for retention of and building up my muscle strength and tone. I signed up and my trainer pushed me as much as he possibly could while giving me the advice and guidance I needed to help with the changes in adopting a healthier lifestyle regime. The rest was history – 12 months later and 6½ stone lighter (see picture below) I was a changed man. In fact ‘I achieved far more than what I initially set out to do – having a personal trainer definitely helped me to stay focused.’ Studies do show you are more likely to achieve results when you train with a personal trainer and unlike other gyms, here at One 2 One the way the training programmes and healthy eating are structured, you will see guaranteed results, just like I did! I got so much out of my training, that I wanted to give something back, so I didn’t stop there – I went on to become a trainer myself and now I’m in a position to help people who were in a similar position to where I was over 10 years ago!
